Management Committee

As set out in the constitution of Integral Leadership Institute, a Management Committee oversees the operation of the institute, administers its activities, manages its funds and makes strategic decisions.  The Integral Leadership Institute has yearly audits of its financial operations and also meets strict reporting requirements to maintain its Deductible Gift Status (DGS)

Dr. Ron Cacioppe, Chairperson
Ron is the Managing Director of Integral Development and a Senior Consultant. He holds a BSc., an MBA and a PhD, which he completed using Ken Wilber’s theories and concepts and applying them to leadership and organisations.

Ron has taught in the Graduate School of Management at Macquarie University, Curtin University and the University of Western Australia and currently teaches at the MBA level in the areas of Leadership Effectiveness, Leading and Facilitating Teams, Managing Strategic Change and Philosophy and Leadership. Ron was the Professor of Leadership at the Australian Institute of Management and has been a leadership and organisational development consultant for over thirty years working with business, government and not-for-profit organisations in Australia, Asia and the United States.

Ron is widely published in leadership and management journals with articles on creating an inspirited workplace, driving organisational success, using 360 degree feedback to develop leadership and management skills, transforming organisational culture, and has co-authored a university text book on organisational behaviour. Ron’s most recent publication is a book entitled Meditation: Bringing Serenity to a Busy Life.

Ron has taught the Living Philosophy course for the Integral Leadership Institute for the past three years. He has been involved with meditation, yoga and the study of eastern and western philosophy. His PhD was concerned with the application of Eastern and Western modes and levels of consciousness to organisation development, quality of work experience and leadership styles. Ron is also one of the founding members of the Zen Group of Western Australia.

 

Brad_ILI_HeadshotBrad McManus, Vice Chairperson
Brad has significant experience in leading and managing organisations in Australia and abroad. He is a founding member of the Integral Leadership Institute and founder of The Sustainability Centre, a permaculture demonstration property and leadership retreat based in Thailand and designed around Integral sustainability principles.   

Brad's qualifications include a Master of International Business a Master of Business Administration and a Graduate Diploma of Business in Management for which he received the CCIWA Prize. He is a certified Spiral Dynamics consultant and an accredited Integral Coach. Brad is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Australian Human Resources Institute and the Chartered Management Institute in the UK. He is a WA Business News 40under40 award alumnus and recipient of a 2011 ADC Australian Leadership Award.

Nigel is the Institute's Treasurer and has 30 years commerical experience at both board and senior leadership level. He has travelled extensively, worked in Australia and Europe and has industry experience in mining, insurance, health, consulting and financial services.

Currently Company Secretary for the HBF Health Group which has a turnover of over $1billion, he is also a director of HealthGuard Health Benefits Fund Limited.

During an extensive executive career Nigel has developed expertise in leadership, strategy, governance, finance, IT, regulatory compliance and change management. His qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Tasmania, a Diploma in Corporate Management and a Company Directors Course Diploma. He is a CPA, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries.

Faye is the Institute’s Secretary and has strong links with the community sector in both regional Western Australia and the metropolitan area. After farming in the Esperance area for many years and running a home-based textile arts practice, Faye moved to Perth in 1996 to take up a position in the Grants Team at Lotterywest, supporting community organisations to develop projects and funding proposals.  15 years later she still finds this job to a neat fit with her personal values and commitment to community development.

Faye has a varied range of qualifications garnered over a lifetime of learning. These include a Diploma of Art and Design, a BA in English Literature, a BA in Sociology and an MA in Public Policy.  Faye has been a participant in the Living Philosophy program and a student of Buddhism and gains balance in life by being a regular walker, cyclist and kayaker.
 
 
 
 

michael_big.jpgMichael Fox, Management Committee Member
Michael is a member of the Institute's Management Committee and also a member of its Research Committee. He has a long history of involvement with not-for-profit organisations pursuing values-based goals and is currently the Chairperson of Children’s Services Support Unit (CSSU), a not-for-profit organisation which assists communities who are experiencing difficulties in providing quality child care to maintain and grow their facilities.

Michael also has a long-held interest in the area of integrating spirituality into the workplace. He holds a Master of Pastoral Studies from Loyola University in Chicago which included studies in spirituality, psychology and organisational change. He has a BPsych from Edith Cowan University as well as a BA and a BSc from the University of Western Australia and a DipT from Victoria, and is a registered psychologist.Michael has lectured in Theology at Edith Cowan and Murdoch Universities and in the management stream for the business schools at the University of Western Australia and at Murdoch University.

This background has led Michael to take on a teaching and tutoring role with the Integral Leadership Institute's Living Philosophy program which runs for three, 10-week terms a year. Michael finds that this role enriches his own practice and provides a stimulus for participants to engage in practices of being in the moment and meditation as well as the study of philosophers ancient and post-modern.

As a consultant with Integral Development Michael feels a strong affinity with the consultancy’s strong embracing of Integral theory and practice. He has conducted organisational surveys for a range of organisations across Australia and overseas and has been involved in other areas such as leadership development, strategic planning and facilitating reviews and organisational change processes.

Jonah holds a BA from Curtin University and an MSA from Sydney University.  He is currently the Business Manager of Integral Development and was previously Marketing Director and Head of Painting at the Art Academy in London. He also taught at St Oswalds School of Painting, also in London.

Jonah has been involved in the study of meditation, Advaita Vedanta and Zen for over 18 years. He has experience in teaching and designing meditation, leadership and philosophy programs for young people both within Australia and the UK over the last ten years, with organisations such as the School of Economic Science UK, the Department of Industry and Resources, MDA National and  the School of Philosophy Australia.

Antonia has held senior management positions in non-government and government organisations and has practised as a psychotherapist/counsellor for over two decades. She has a wide range of experience in working with diversity including cultural, linguistic and gender issues. She has lived and worked in the UK and USA and has delivered programs in Asia. Antonia has worked at the forefront of health, science and technology exploring the psycho-social impact on human lives. She has provided specialist advice to governments across Australia on women's health and reproductive technology. 

Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Social Work and a Masters in Business Administration. In 2001 she was awarded the WA Edith Cowan Women's Fellowship to carry out study/travel to the UK and USA and in 2004 was awarded the Clayton Utz prize in Leadership. Antonia is an accredited Integral Coach and a registered clinical social worker in WA. Contemplative and spiritual practices are central to her life and underpin her approach to her work with clients and organisations. She tutors on the Integral Leadership Institute's Living Philosophy program.

Lynda has considerable experience in international human resource management coupled with a broad range of consultancy experience in organisations both in Australia and abroad. She holds a Bachelor of Science, a BA Honours, a Masters in Organisational Psycholgy and is currently completing her Doctorate in Organisational Psychology (Leadership). She has been involved in teaching and research in the areas of organisational development and leadership. 

Lynda's passion for exploration has resulted in her travelling to over 85 countries and traversing some of the most remote parts of the world. Her extensive travels have allowed her to experience first hand a wide range of spiritual practices, including; many of the Eastern religions, Hawaiian Huna and a variety of meditation practices. She has practised Transcendental Meditation for over 7 years and strongly believes that this plays a part in her clarity of thought and her ability to facilitate change in organisations that is lasting and alinged with Integral principles. Lynda tutors on the Integral Leadership Institute's Living Philosophy program.     

 

Become a member of the Management Committee
